Equal parts opportunism, inspiration, and art theft, the origin of Octobriana saw the arts world collide with the Cold War political backdrop of the 1970s, resulting in the creation of one of the most bizarre pop culture characters of our time.

Canadian / UK publisher Dead Good Comics began producing its take on Octobriana in 2021, editing and written by Stu Taylor who has been involved with the character since the 1990s.
